Once upon a time
Once upon a time, there was an old man who went to the beach to write every morning. He was taking a walk on the beautiful beach before starting his work. One fine Sunday, following the morning ritual, he went to the beach and began walking along the beach.
As he drove, he passed a site where thousands of starfish had washed up. As far as the eye could see, there were stretches of star-studded beaches in both directions. In the distance the old man noticed a little girl approaching. As she walked the girl, she sometimes stopped bent and picked up a star fish and threw it in the ocean.
As she approached, the old man could see her occasionally stoop to pick up her things and throw them into the sea. !” The old man asked the young girl, “May I ask what you are doing?” The pretty girl stopped and looked up and said, “I am throwing starfish into the sea. The tide has flowed, and the star fish can’t go back to the sea by itself.”
The old man told the girl that there must be tens of thousands of starfish on this beach and she would not be able to send all of them in the sea. The girl crouched down, picked up another starfish, and she threw it as far into the sea as she could and smiled at the old man and said “I have made a difference to this one atleast”
